Release Notes

Fixed issue where Remote or Local files were being removed when using the SFTP task.

Instructions
Uninstall the previous version by going to Add/Remove programs and then reinstall.
When you open existing project there will be errors b/c the assembly version has changed. You will receive an error that will list the assembly version, note this version (If you had the latest installed then it would be '2.0.13'). To fix this open the dtsx package in Notepad and search and replace '2.0.1.3' with '1.0.0.0'. Reopen package in BIDS and it should be fine.

Very Good. Many thanks to the author(s). The install was trouble free, both on my SSIS development machine and the server. The components ended up in the wrong section of the toolbox in Visual Studio, but you can mouse drag them where they belong, so no problem. The SFTP component worked for me. Several of the SFTP component properties must have their values set through variables; you can't hard code. This threw me off at first, but it all worked in the end. The files I am SFTP'ing are not very large the slowness others have mentioned is not an issue for me.

Works well, but does seem to be a couple of issues. I can#t seem to get a connection on one SFTP server we use, I always get an error saying that there's no suitable authentication method. Another issue is speed, which is pretty poor. When moving small files, it works wonders, but anything large just doesn't work. I have a file that's just under 300Mb and the package fails, or the SFTP server cuts the connection, before it's done, as it only uploads at about 50kbps. If I send the file manually, it goes at a good 2Mbps or more.

This is a good tool but the SSIS .SFTP downloads very slow. When downloading the same file from the same FTP site with FileZilla I get a good 3.5 MB a sec. , but with the SSIS SFTP I am only seeing about 100k or so. Fix the speed issue and this would be a great tool, but is not useful to me as I download a 1.8 GB file every day and I have to be able to get the same speed that I am seeing with Filezilla. -Codeman

Stable and works well; currently using the PGP encryption task which saved me writing a script task or installing PGP.
